I was on the Kansas site and those dang Jayhawks were saying nobody wanted him and that’s why he committed to us. Right - if you think Akron is nobody! Geez those guys tick me off.

His name made me laugh, I'll give him credit for that.AJcat7755 wrote: ↑June 20th, 2021, 7:09 pm2 posts. I like this pickup, he definitely looks to be a Kansas kid that has flown under the radar.

He has the physical tools, as evidenced by his speed and tackling ability. However, he is still raw and will take a few years of development before he is ready. Definitely worth the investment, just dont expect instant impact on the depth chart.

Def looks raw but can see an Eman type player.
This sock smells like a familiar one that I haven’t seen post in a bit….

This is where recruiting confuses the heck out of me?? This kid is big and really fast, but is considered under the radar and raw. Yet Kanak is blowing up because he is big and fast, not because he has really done anything on the field. Coaches I've talked to were not that impressed with Kanak on the field, yet everyone wants him because he is big and fast.
Honestly, not sure I see a big difference in potential between Tobi and Kanak? So why is one guy an under the radar guy but the other guy has blown up nationally?

The answer is in the question. He blew up. That is the answer. Its hype. One of the keys in life? Don't believe the hype. Make decisions based on sound thinking. Look at what really matters. Trust yourself. I will be surprised if Kanak is a big deal in college because he hasn't really proven anything yet. Big questions with any kid are attitude, sports IQ and work ethic. Just look at Deuce Vaughn. Measurables not that impressive, but he is a player. Lots of intangibles. I wouldn't trade 3 star Deuce for Kanak. People seem to have a lot of trouble learning this lesson. Tobi-O definitely deserves a spot due too his measurables. Looks like the attitude may be there as well. May turn out to be one of the better players out of Kansas this year.
