Everyone thinks the grass will be greener on the other side (maybe it was just the NIL money..??). But then many find out that it isn't. Savage could have been All-Big 12 at K-State and probably would have been drafted. Now it doesn't even seem he's seeing the field at all at Oregon.

i'm told that savage taking oregon's bag was the catalyst for gene taylor and his coaches to reassess nil. being at first resistant to the pay-to-play model, they embraced it after losing kobe. the most obvious examples are on the hardwood. but we can assume football players are now being competitively compensated as well.KSUbetcha wrote: ↑September 16th, 2024, 2:18 pmEveryone thinks the grass will be greener on the other side (maybe it was just the NIL money..??). reported, that Air Force has emerged as a target for the American Athletic Conference to add. The idea of having all three service academies in the same league is quite appealing, source tells

I agree. I was hoping that Big 12 expansion would include AF and Navy, but it was not to be. If anyone gets a chance to go to a service academy game, I recommend it. Back when I was coaching in the late 90s in SW Kansas, We'd take the team to Colorado Springs to watch AF play. It only cost the kids a dollar and it was a great atmosphere with flyovers and having the ball parachute in. The falcon demonstrations at half time were pretty awesome too.tmcats wrote: ↑September 17th, 2024, 1:26 pm

I watched about a 1/4 of play during the Oregon/OSU game and he was on the field the entire time I watched.KSUbetcha wrote: ↑September 16th, 2024, 2:18 pmEveryone thinks the grass will be greener on the other side (maybe it was just the NIL money..??). In a perfect world, everyone would choose hard work, morals and ethics over obscene money and fame. And everyone outside of Lowrents would be required to be a red blooded, card carrying Payhawk hater.
I always root for the service academies (except when they play us). And I go to a few USF games a year on cheap tickets so having AF in the AAC is great by me. I usually piss off my USF buddies when I cheer for Navy and Army. Now I can add AF.
Yeah I am not even sure where you found that information, but it's crap. Kobe's actual stats can be found here on the Oregon Duck's site. He would be tied for 3rd most tackles so far had he stayed.

Yea, he's been starting and playing in the games I've watched. I've watched parts of 2 of their games.
