KC faces Cleveland Sunday featuring a rematch of college foes Baker Mayfield and Patrick Mahomes. Attached is the 2016 matchup where they passed for 1,279 combined yards.

Good point @tmcats .. He hasn't exactly blown up at the pro-level either.

Seemed to be a pretty good college offensive coach. He was definitely pretty anyway. :) D was always the issue with Cliff. This was a huge record breaking game. Each team had 854 yards of total offense for an HCAA total of 1,708. What may be even more amazing is Mahommes accounted for 800 of TTs yards. another NCAA record. Despite great QB play Mixon was the difference in the game. He ran for over 250 and recieved for over 100. I thought the announcers whiffed on many great plays by Mahommes. Crazy he was not the #1 overall pick.

I'm not sure why everyone keeps talking about 2016 when they played in college when Mahomes and Baker played each other in the NFL in 2018. Which is more relevant?

Last year the defense peaked during the playoffs. Not happening this year.

Mayfield is a hot item going into playoffs. He worries me. He has to be carrying a big chip on his shoulders for Mahomes.

The Browns' pass defense is weak -- good news for KC.

The Chiefs' run defense is weak -- good for Browns.

Coaches? Give the nod to the Chiefs.

Kc has been facing opponents with playoff caliber intensity all year and basically lost one game out of 15. In the playoffs I expect the Chiefs to ramp up their focus and play. It'll take a handful of TOs and maybe a special teams TD for the Browns to win imo.

It would have to be a meltdown similar to the one that the Steelers had to lose this game. I see the Chiefs scoring a lot of points in this one.

I wonder what would have happened that game had Tomlin gone for it on 4th and 1 from basically midfield with 14 mins left down 35-23. I was stupefied he punted and to make matters worse the punt went into the endzone.
