No issue with OU being at the top.
Not convinced that OSU will be number 2. After players threatening to sit out, and the head coach getting a 1 mil pay cut for wearing a t-shirt, I am not sure Gundy has control of his team. I think the wheels might fall off that wagon.
UT at 3? Hmmm That's as high as I'd put them. Another year of underachieving for the Horns is what I think, and 3rd place might get Herrman fired.
Not sold on ISU. I dont' think they deserve the press they get. I see Kstate in this spot.
Baylor at 5? maybe, but are their athletes that good to have a new coach with no spring? I don't know.
TCU is better than ISU.
KSTATE will finish 4th or higher. I am a homer, but our coach can coach.
West Virginia will be better than 8th.
Tech might be better than Baylor who really needed a spring
KU is where they should be.

always fun to read comments here and rankings. so, here's mine ...

texas - I know, i know but love sam at QB and overall talent
oSu - if it doesn't implode; Gundy tends to be best when dog'd
ou - who knows about rattler, not me
k-state - could be higher but i'll be surprised if lower
isu - not impressed with last year and lost some dudes
tcu - Gary's too good to be down too long
baylor - coaching transition will hurt even with oft-injured brewer back at qb
wvu - like coach brown but needs more talent
txt - did not like wells hire
ku - miles to go, no QB being major hurdle

Would be great to see wheels come off for Gundy, hard guy to like. Reading pretty good things about Baylor new regime. If Texas does not return to the top two they likely will have yet another coach. Bottom three look pretty bad, the rest of conference good.

Tier 1 - OU, OSU, UT - Big 12 championship game will come out of this tier
Tier 2 - ISU, KSU, TCU, BU - Bowl teams (although that depends if OOC games are played or not)
Tier 3 - WVU, TTU, KU - Below .500 teams (if OOC games are played, maybe 1 flirting with right at .500)

I went game by game and picked a winner to expand on this.

I added the assumption that any game cancelled will be replaced by an easy FCS or lower tier G5 team as the NCAA for this year will allow 2 FCS wins to count towards bowl games. So given that, any replacement games were automatic wins.

OU - 11-1 (8-1)
UT - 10-2 (8-1)
OSU - 10-2 (7-2)
BU - 8-4 (6-3)
ISU - 8-4 (5-4)
KSU - 7-5 (4-5)
TCU - 6-6 (3-6)
WVU - 5-7 (3-6)
TTU - 4-8 (1-8)
KU - 3-9 (0-9)

I'd flip flop Ou and Texas, but other than that can see the rest. Gundy's a decent coach that I also like. And like his spirit. He will get them back on track.
The Cats should be better, but that bowl game was a head scratcher for sure. Messingham concerns me.
ISU always gets too much love!
