Is there anything at the baseball stadium or on campus to honor Earl Woods? I thought he was probably the first black baseball player in the Big 7 and this article confirms that. I did not know he was buried in Manhattan as well.

I believe there was at least one other black athlete before Earl at KSU but I don't know who that is. I looked and found this article about Harold Robinson, Gene Wilson, and Earl Woods.

Don't you think there should be a plaque for them if there is not one? Something for each one at the respective stadium would be nice. I can only begin to think about how hard it must have been for them. They were the first at KSU and for the league. All three stand out for what they did and it should not matter one way or the other that Earl had a famous son.

i sent this picture of mr. woods to gene taylor some time ago and he was excited to see it for the first time. he thought it should be part of the school's hall of fame or baseball stadium. so if not up already, i'm sure it will be in the future.

A famous son that loves to bang ho's and shoot 'roids and PEDs daily. But as long as he can put a ball in the hole (no pun intended--though accurate) people fawn all over him as a role model for their children. It's pathetic. Morals and ethics be damned.

True story. Buried in the Sunset Cemetery close to Manhattan High, but no headstone. Only the city and family know of the location.

Not really that hard to find the location. It took me less than a minute.
