A pox on Fox and Dish

Post by ToledoCat#2 » July 26th, 2019, 7:40 pm

A pox on both Fox Sports and Dish TV for screwing up the Royals baseball telecasts.

Decision makers at both entities need to get off their money-grubbing asses and resume Royals service. My contract with Dish certainly implies that I'm entitled to the programming that I signed up for and am paying for. Both entities make it nearly impossible to register an electronic complaint.

I'm off to DirectTV in a few days if Fox and Dish can't resolve their contract differences. If I leave Dish now, I won't be back.

I purchased and installed a large outdoor tv antenna when tv went digital. It was one of the best, although cheap, investments that I have ever made.

Iowa -- please explain a little more about your large outdoor TV antenna. How far away can you get a TV signal?

My Winegard antenna is 103 X 105 inches and is mounted on a 2' tall mast in the attic over the garage of our 1 story ranch house. Our house is 19 miles straight north of the TV towers for Des Moines. Our reception is sparkling. I have never aimed the antenna in another direction to see if anything else is even available or what the range is.

Thanks, Iowa. Brings back memories of my 13 years working in the Ames/DSM/Boone area.

I am also getting to be way too old to be climbing around in the attic. I have no plans to do any experimenting. I will tell you that we do NOT have an amplifier to boost signal strength.
