Came out this morning and beat down UMBC. 25-14,25-9,25-14. Line-up sill seems to be a work in progress on who plays OH2. Looks like a competition between Meyers, Gregorski, and Clinton. UC Davis loss is going to hurt a bit if we are on the bubble (unless UC Davis turns to beat other good teams). Kind of need to take a match against either USC or Creighton next weekend.

Lost both games fri and sat against USC and Creighton. USC matched post on youtube. vs USC was pretty competitive, but just too many mistakes near the end of the games. Creighton just throttled us. Mansfield seems to be tinkering with the line up to find what works. Seems like Clinton still having issues getting back to form. Need to win out the rest of the OOC and then probably pick up a game we weren't suppose to win in the Big12. I'm sure the team will like getting back home and playing in front of a good/supportive crowd. maybe what they need to get some mojo back .

KSU beat Lipscomb in Manhattan 3-1, but games were close Seems like we are very much a work in-progress. Wasn't on ESPN or streamed so not sure other than the box score how we looked (not great). Games are on ESPN+ or ESPNU the rest of the non-conf so will be able to check them out. I was predicting 17-10 at the start of the season. Kind of thinking that isn't going to happen. We are currently ~ 40 for RPI futures. so not as bad as it could have been with the UC Davis loss.

Took the big L today against north Carolina 3-1. We just aren't a good team right now.
Williams was out due to illness. Passing was poor and we don't have someone to play OH2 yet. We hit a whopping 0.109.

It is early, but this has been disappointing so far.

It’s not that early anymore. I believe they have two non cons left and are just 2-5 on the season, with the two wins being Lipscomb and UMBC. Missed several chances to beat a ranked team and help build a resume. This team will have to do something pretty special in the conference to make the tournament, but right now they appear to be worse than last years team.

KSU now at 65 in RPI futures with projected record of 13-14. Far off what I thought at the beginning of season at 17-10.
Upcoming opponents are UCSB (138) and OU (26).

On a recruiting note, we have a verbal from Skylar Brady for 2026. 6'1" OH/MB(?) from OK. Looks pretty good get from the limited highlights. Still has room to get better too.

Glimmer of hope that Clinton did start hitting better hitting 0.352, but until the team passing improves and team/individual ding dong plays are eliminated won't matter ...Coach switched to 6-2.
