KSU added Ella Larkin DS/L from LSU to the roster. She very good before she moved over the the beach volleyball. Good pick up to fill the hole that Morris left. Mansfield Staff seems on top getting the team better.

Ella played a lot with Ellie Shank who was a student of mine at Valley Center MS. Excited for another season with some good expectation to make the tournament.
KSU Plays tomorrow in exhibition game against @Wichita at 4pm. then regular season starts next friday on the road @ Purdue against #8Purdue, UC Davis, and UMBC. Hard test early against Purdue for sure.

Lineup seems to be trending to Brown (transfer from Pepperdine at the Opp and Schmidt/Williams (Transfer from Kentucky) at MB.
Probably Larkin (transfer from LSU) or Sims are the DS1 and L. Izzi the stetter and Carter and Clinton at OH. Gregorski probably DS2

Swept the Shockers today. Close first set and then two comfortable wins. Most everyone played in at least one set.

KSU plays #8 @Purdue, UC Davis, and UMBC this Fri,Sat, and Sunday.
Tough match with Purdue on the road and first match. Looks like the only way to watch would be BIG+ network for the purdue game:( I hope it is posted later on youtube. Winning at least 2 should be reasonable expectation for the weekend. If we come out ready and pass well, we should have a good shot against purdue (and no injuries-seem like Clinton is still coming back and may not be 100%).
For whatever it is worth week 0 RPI futures have us as #27.

Lost 3-1 to 8th-ranked Purdue. All three losses were close and could have gone either way.

Well that didn't go well at all...Lost 3-2 to UC Davis. Almost came back from 13-7 down in the 5th, but lost 15-13 on a service error:(.
UC Davis not that good. Should have been able to throttle them pretty easily. Gotta make that up with some upsets later in the non-conf...double yikes. Not sure what the issue was since didn't have the video stream.
