Well my high school football game became a rout so I started watching again and low and behold they won games 3 and 4 and are going to a 5th set tiebreaker. If only they had close out game 2 it’s over. But at least they fought back. Now see if they can complete it. When they are on they can play with about anyone. But when they start to stink it up anyone can beat them.

I’m not really impressed with ku. They’re certainly not bad but not any better than KSU. No reason the Cats can’t be ranked and in the tournament except for early season bad losses.

Lose game 5 15-12. Didn’t play very well and gave away game point with giving them two free balls.

I don’t think the better team won when the better team played to their potential. They did fight back and made it very competitive but could have very easily won tonight in 4 games and really should have. Just completely gave game 2 away with the thing they struggled with most the year, passing.

Hopefully they come out fired up tomorrow as they really need a win. Ku did lose one of their starting outside hitters. Turned her ankle really bad in the last game. We’ll see how that impacts them tomorrow.

that was my take as well, bhoovy. watched it unfold some, i'm not a volleyball fan, and thought our gals looked to be superior athletes, bigger, stronger, faster. but the match took some home court corners and the cats lost after being down two/zip. but again, i watched maybe a third of it and claim no understanding of the game.

One thing that has not been discussed for Volleyball is KU out recruiting us in Kansas/Kansas City.

Reported strained relationships from the prev staff led to the KC area issues. New staff will have to build some trust there, but seems to be on the right path getting Fox to decommit from Rutgers to KSU late (ranked recruit) and then Tindall from the same club. At least some positive direction.

I should also add KSU hasn't been good for a while and KU had the final 4 run back in 2015 and won the conf in 2016. This also certainly added onto these issues as well.

Wow up 24-22 in the 2nd. Get aced with Bolding trying to take it when she probably didn't need to do that. Timeout KSU and then they try to run some odd play or get confused with with the play they are running. Looks to have been Clinton, but she didn't even make an attempt and tried to bump it over. We don't do well in close matches right now. Just not focused at all. Down 0-2 to KU.

well lost in 3 to KU. Next up Texas and Ttech 2x in manhattan, then @Houston. Gotta win both with ttech and then pull beat houston. just don't think we can win against texas with the sloppy play that we had vs KU. Fernholtz rolled her ankle, but it didn't look so bad for her when she was walking on it with a little bit of help

Yeah both second games they should have and needed to close out. Just can’t have multiple match points and lose games and have a very successful season. Disappointing weekend, especially after looking so good the previous. I don’t see any way they play with Texas. Definitely need to win the other games and if so should have a strong chance of making the tournament. But this team is very inconsistent currently. They’re like the Forest Gump box of chocolates.
