Romans 1:21-27 New International Version (NIV)

21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles.

24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.

26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.

Telling one homosexuality is a sin is not a hateful act. Paul did and it was his job to save souls.

When Jesus did the miracle with the bread and fish, was there a conservative bitching about the hippie Jew giving away free food?

Umm the conservatives were kneeling being thankful. The liberals, they were figuring how to hang Jesus from the cross for daring to say “ one man and one woman only”.

God's enforcer believes all liberals should burn in hell forever.

Shortly after the Columbine shooting, I saw two items:
1st - An online KSU Collegian article about a special speaker @ KSU answering an audience question about his feelings on the Columbine shootings. The speaker's response was to the effect of 'Violence of this scale indicates a lack of love in our society'. I suggest that rational forum members decide how to properly carry out that speaker's suggestion.
2nd - A pastor from either TN or KY placed a half page notice/ad in the Washington Post Main Section concerning that tragic shooting incident.
I have long forgotten most of the text,, however, one part was to the effect: '...We should be saddened by this tragic event, but we should not be shocked . Any society that allows violence inside the womb condones violence outside the womb....'.

I should had saved that darn notice/ad in the Washington Post Main Section .
How explain the violence of World War I and World War II when abortion was not legal?

Where did Jesus say that?
Marriage between a man and a woman was instituted by God with Adam and Eve. Genesis 2:24 states: "Therefore a man leaves his father and his mother and cleaves to his wife, and they become one flesh."

In Matthew 19:4-5, Jesus reaffirms this: "He answered, ‘Have you not read that he who made them from the beginning made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one’?"

Uh, you do realize it was the conservatives of the day who demanded that Caesar crucify Jesus? The whores, tax collectors, the poor, the widows and outcasts flocked to Jesus while the Righteous demanded he be crucified. The Pharisees....the keepers of tradition and letter of the law.....it was they who delivered Jesus to Caesar.

I can guarantee you that, if Jesus walked the streets today, Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh would be the first to say: "Crucify him!"

Arguing religion is as fruitless as arguing politics. Basically, both are too personal for any public discourse to change.
