Mike McGuirl did not play well - turnover machine when I was listening

Mike has been in a deep funk for the last two games. They tried to get him going, but he is not playing at all at the level he is capable of.

Re: Game Against Omaha Tonight

Any line-up with Davion, EZ, Ish, Mark, Selton, Pack, and Nowell was carving Omaha up unmercifully. KSU could have won be 40 or more quite easily. The goal was to try to find a little more depth and get some minutes for guys who need to improve to be useful. Against teams like Arkansas and Illinois/...

Re: Tonight's exhibition against Pitt State

It's not clear how much Nijel will play tonight. He is coming off an injury, and is still working his way back into full practices. Also, Davion will not play tonight due to an illness (not Covid). KSU should be fine, but only 8-9 scholarship players will be available.

Re: Open Scrimmage

Which player is Ksu getting? The guy who shot 45% from 3 his sophomore season or 31% last year? At this point at the end of his career he is what he is. Nice player that can be a nice contributor but expecting him to be more than that is not based in reality imo. You never know how a player is goin...

Re: Open Scrimmage

Weber quoted that Mark Smith has been the best player on the team? If that's true, and if it holds, the season could get pretty interesting. I hope this is just Weber speaking well about his new transfer. Smith could be a nice piece this year but if he is the best player on the team then Ksu isn't ...

Re: (3) B12 Teams in Top 10

Kenpom has four teams (KU, BU, TTech, and UT) in the top fourteen. After that, there are five teams (OSU, WVU, OU, TCU, and KSU) between #37 and #82, with ISU bringing up the rear at #113. That second group of five should be pretty competitive, so fifth place through ninth place could be up for grab...

xtra, thanks for the in-depth report. how did pack look?

Pack is coming off a hip pointer, so he did not play in the scrimmage. He did participate in some of the drills. Carlton also did not play in the scrimmage as he is working his way into shape from back surgery.

Re: I am trying to get excited, trying hard to overcome pessimism

1, Absolutely no reasons to believe this year will be similar to the last two. absolutely no reasons? really? just as a 'for example' same coaching staff largely same roster the same slate of Big XII opponents i mean, those pop to mind immediately You left off same school colors! :D In al...

Thanks for the great recap xtra! Obviously this is very early, but there seem to be some encouraging signs already.

Thank God there is no corruption here. Is everybody for sale these days and can any crime be overlooked with sufficient lucre.
I am not for sale at any price! But that is negotiable, of course.
