Re: so, who the best to have ever played here?

Since the question is, who is the best to ever play here(not most successful, most points, longest career, most accomplished, etc), i'm going with Michael Beasley. What he did in 1 season at KSU(13 years ago) is something that will likely never be done again. Probably the most dominate season by an...

Re: so, who the best to have ever played here?

comparisons are fair if kept in context. boozer played in his time which was different than richmond's or beasley. but the league was the big 7/8 back then, just the same. boozer was twice consensus all-american; pullen, beasley, the others had the same opportunity. boozer's team won two conference...

Re: so, who the best to have ever played here?

Those who picked otherwise than Bob Boozer, never seen him play. Smooth. Had a strange-looking jump shot -- but effective. Just to add another wrinkle to this thread -- who is you favorite "non-star" basketball player in KSU history? I'm talking guys most folks would never think of: My choices: Mik...

Re: Harlan Obioha of Hoxie

A 7'0" Olineman will get manhandled by a DLineman that is 6'5" and powerful unless he has a long, powerful reach and very quick feet, which isn't too likely to have both at 7'0". A little thing called leverage makes a huge difference in the trenches. Not very many lineman are over 6'8" tops. Corneli...

Re: so, who the best to have ever played here?

Jacob Pullen. All time leading scorer, 2nd all time in assists, and 2nd all time in steals. that's just laughable. his teams won nothing. in fact his senior year had to be one of the most disappointing outcomes in k-state hoops history, finished 4th? "I would enjoy your takes. i'm not talking about...

Re: College football playoff...

ISU was a neat story. Matt Campbell is a media darling. For example, if TCU, OSU, or anyone else in this conference was 7-2 with the same schedule/losses, I dont think they would've been ranked that high. JMO

Re: Notre dame?

Sorry guys, I have coached high school football for 25 years now I guess you know more than me. I Will let you show me how smart you are. My bad! I'm a coach too. Nearly 50 years old and no experience anywhere in life makes the statement that we would beat ND, make sense. That's the most absurd sta...

Re: College football playoff...

An 8 team playoff would be great. It's so sad that the controlling interests of college football aren't willing to see the obvious. I know it's all about power and money but a playoff system would bring in even more dollars, I would think. I'm surprised a large number of college football coaches an...
