Re: Pete Hughes New Baseball Coach

Pete Hughes son, Dom, will be coming to K-State to play for his dad. He is a 2019 recruit. He has 2 older brothers. Thomas, a 2015 recruit who plays for infield at OU and signed up when his dad was the coach there, and Hal Hughes, who started for LSU at SS this year as a freshman. Thomas, and OU, lo...

Re: K-State v. Georgia State for 2018-19

A&M also lost DJ Hogg. There is still some talent on the roster, but its a major turnover. Good catch, I updated the post above. That's 3 of the top 4 scorers or 5 of the top 7 and their top 4 rebounders and their leading assist guard. Even with the younger talent, and trying to bring in transfers,...

Re: K-State v. Georgia State for 2018-19

I believe Texas A&M was favored at their place when the game was announced. Also, Marquette at their place is a very tough game. Depending on who KSU actually plays and where, some of the other games could be a test as well. Was that before the NBA early entrees of Davis, Hogg and Williams? Texas A...

Re: K-State v. Georgia State for 2018-19

won't go undefeated? :? I would think K-State would be favored in all non-con games. I would rank the toughest to easiest as: @Marquette - Road game against a NIT team last year that returns a lot of players. Some polls even have them in the top 25 @Texas A&M - Road game against a Sweet 16 team. Al...

K-State v. Georgia State for 2018-19

K-State will host Georgia State on December 15th, 2018 as part of its non-con schedule. They went 24-11 last year, won the Sun Belt Tournament and got into the NCAA tournament as a #15 seed losing in the first round to Cincinnati. D'Marcus Simonds is their star that returns and he set a school recor...

Re: Ian Rudzik Leaving the Program

I'm a little surprised to hear that. I figured he would be one of those overachiever types who would work his way into the mix through hard work and dedication. Believe he was held out of the spring game because of concussions. Rumor is that could have been part of his decision to leave the program...

Ian Rudzik Leaving the Program

Makes sense on why K-State recently picked up JUCO LB Cody Fletcher to replace outgoing Ian Rudzik. Ian was a 2* from Ulysses, KS. 2512th in the nation, 114th ILB in the 2016 class. He was originally going to grey shirt but a scholarship was available. RS the 2016 year and played in 5 games in 2017 ...

All signs are pointing to Tech at this point.

New 2018 Commit - Cody Fletcher

K-State is still adding to the 2018 class with JUCO LB Cody Fletcher. The 6'1", 220 lb defender from Tyler College has 3 years to play 3 years. He had intended to go back to JUCO for another year before K-State's offer came.

Re: Trace Kochevar Leaving the Program

Lucas Krull chose Florida over K-State. That would be the 2nd legacy TE from KS that choose Florida over K-State in recent years. The other being Deandre Goolsby who's career at Florida has been 3 years, 17 starts, 67 receptions for 711 yards and 4 TDs. And when you don’t land someone like Goolsby ...
