Re: KU grad basketball coach

I have a buddy who went to college with him. He said he was a drunken idiot in college while a player at KU. Always out drinking and showing up to morning workouts hungover, but kept rising to the top. Why? His Dad was/is good friends with Bill Self. He said it was common knowledge he was given ever...

Re: Baylor v ku

I hope Diarra uses his step back three in this game. He and Sneed getting hot from three is our best shot. And don't turn it over. Put both Diarra and Sneed in the opposite corners. They'll have to come out and guard, which will leave the paint more open. Mak at the high post to the left or right o...

Re: Facilities

My wife and I are both KSU grads. We have a son at KSU right now, sophomore. We have a daughter that is a junior in HS. We are actually trying to have her keep an open mind and not feel she has to go to KSU. The smaller state schools are so much cheaper. I guess we want her to carve out her own pat...

Re: Baylor v ku

If we get off to a good start (not down 14-2 right off the bat as usual) and get the place rowdy, we may be able to hang around, but with the Big 12 race still on the line, KU will be primed and ready. Not good for us.

Re: Facilities

Anyone see what USC announced last week? Free tuition for anyone whose family income is less than $80,000. I didn't hear the details (just instate or within the city of L.A. or what). I'm not suggesting KSU could do this, but I feel like they better start getting creative somehow, because families a...

Re: Mercury Article on Kaosi Eseagu

We aren't asking for the world. Give us 8pts, 7-8 rebounds, 2 blocks, 1+ assist and less than 2 turnovers. That isn't an eye popping line, but would improve our team quite a bit, especially if he has a decent presence around the rim to alter 2-3 more shots a game. Mak is at 7.5 pts, 5 rebounds, .5 b...

Re: Dean gets his number retired

I watched the first set of highlights and they were impressive. How long until they start guarding him differently? I was shocked at the loose defense that was being played on him. Sheesh, he's way too good for that. He'll score 25-30 every night if the defense keeps playing him one on one.

I agree, I'd much rather see Sloan, but be prepared to continue to be frustrated. BW is the master at frustrating a fanbase.

Re: May be the worst team in over 70 years.

This is Bruce Weber. All over the place. Is it because he is clean? That's arguable, but I believe last year and the next recruiting class gives him the right to get another year. Make no mistake, I've never been a huge Bruce fan as far as his coaching consistency, but I respect his ethical approach...
