Blake Adams and Dom Johnson picked in round 13 by the Rockies and Tigers respectively.

Will be interesting to see if they sign or return

Well Ahuna wasted no time making an exit. Entered the portal and already committed to Tennessee.

Allegedly he got a pretty sizable NIL deal... good for him though!

Unrelated, but OU and Texas in the CWS this year for their last year in the Big 12. OU is pretty funny given our Wildcats ;-)

Re: The "way too early to tell" 2022 K-State Baseball Thread

Any word on replacement? Not that I've seen. As far as another notable change, there’s really only two other coaches who have a real impact on players on the field and that’s Austin Wates, who is the hitting coach and supposedly handles base running and outfielders. The other is his son Thomas Hugh...

Buck Taylor is out. Apparently another coaching change is in the works as well.

Re: The "way too early to tell" 2022 K-State Baseball Thread

Yeah, that's fair. Cole had a horrible read which made it look tougher than it was. I didn't get a chance to watch the whole game, but I'm not surprised Hughes was lost at the plate. I just don't think he's D1 caliber. As for returners, definitely some promising pitching most likely coming back. Off...

Re: The "way too early to tell" 2022 K-State Baseball Thread

Cats drop a close one to OU 4 - 3, ending their season. Cats battled, but OU just snuck ahead on a tough fly ball to center that was dropped by Johnson and then a solo home run off Phillips. If we saw this fire and grit in the team the entire year, we'd probably be getting an at large bid. Should be...

Re: The "way too early to tell" 2022 K-State Baseball Thread

What an insane back and forth battle for the Cats. Had Tech on the ropes multiple times and could blown the game open, but didn't get the key hits. (FOURTEEN RUNNERS LEFT ON BASE) Up 3 runs after three, Tech battled back, tied it up, then took the lead. Cats wiggled their way back to tie it at 4, bu...

Re: The "way too early to tell" 2022 K-State Baseball Thread

Edit: OU beat Tech 6-1 so the cats get Tech again. Going into today’s game wvu had just swept KSU in the final series of the year. Tech also swept the cats in Lubbock and then beat them in the opening round. Hopefully the Cats can end Tech’s winning streak over them tomorrow. The Red Raiders did no...
