Re: How many more games can they afford to lose and still have a good shot at making the tournament
I heard one of the podcasters say no Big 12 has ever made the tourney with more than 14 losses. Even with some bad losses an 8-2 finish and 2-1 in the tourney would mean we would have finished (after our last three wins) winning 13 out of 16. That's pretty strong and would override the bad non-con t...

Re: Is Tang’s time at K State running out?
Problem with this years team is not the offense or defense we are running. And it is not leadership. It is the fact the guys we got in the portal are not good enough. 1. Hawkins was vastly over rated by everybody including opposing coaches who recruited him. We have a guy who was Honorable Mention ...

Re: College Football Playoff rankings
Early in the BCS era they included computer rankings like Sagarin, but they didn't like them because it wasn't what they wanted from eye test/bias. So they minimized their influence, and then just decided a committee would be better. I completely disagree because the computers take out the eye test/...

Re: Ell Roberson vs Avery Johnson
I believe Ell split time with Marc Dunn in 2001 whereas Avery has started and played almost all of the time this year. Ell started on the bench in 2002 and then lit up USC and never looked back. I recall sometime after that him being asked what happened to make him take off in 2002 and he responded ...

Re: New Orleans, game 1.
Yes, and there will be times when he will be in along with CJ or David when he will slide off the ball and work more in the two guard role. Not to mention Coleman running the point forward slot. The versatility of the team should be a strength.

Re: New Orleans, game 1.
Good comments, everyone. I think Dug has the upside and the potential to really drive this offense. I believe he had 8 assists and 2 turnovers with 6 pts. His shot is still not working like he has done in the past. I suspect it will come but his focus now has to be running that offense and being dis...

Re: Hoe Down with Ft. Hays
My impressions: 1. Our length and athleticism are apparent and in more abundance than we have seen at KSU in a while. 2. Execution on offense and defense were both poor, which is probably to be expected in the first game, particularly with this many new guys to the system and each other. 3. I believ...

Re: It Is Hawker Week
KU is concerning. They have most of the same guys they had last year, and that were picked to do well this year. It hasn't materialized, it they do have some talent. Their strengths, I believe, our DB's, RB's, they have experienced wideouts, and a talented, albeit mercurial QB. We have been good at ...

Re: For Tang, NIL is a two way deal
That same article also says NIL can't be tied to an athlete enrolling at a particular school or being pay for play and we see how that has worked out. As reported by Yahoo!Sports, the policy appears more rigid in regard to “prohibitions related to pay for play, impermissible offers and inducements o...
