Re: Cancelled

~Jimmy Fallon That's almost as hilarious as AOC lying about being hunted down by insurrectionists as she hid in a building 10 minutes away from the Capitol. What is also damn funny is that the media has you lionizing someone and her family that they claimed not so long ago were murderers. So damned...

Jeff Goodman @GoodmanHoops · 1h Georgia’s Andrew Garcia (8.7 ppg) has hit the transfer portal, the portal told me. That makes 6 of Tom Crean’s top 8 scorers that are leaving Athens via transfer. Do they know they can get paid in Georgia? Can also get paid in Kansas, North Carolina, Arizona, etc, et...

Re: Georgia joins states allowing college athletes to be paid

there's certainly a cultural issue at play here with millennials and the youngsters that followed that generation who have learned to ban together for causes they feel are important. the few student-athletes i have known and taught in the classroom at k-state from volleyball, football, wbb, rowing,...

Re: Georgia joins states allowing college athletes to be paid

you said they got their education for 'free.' that's bull dung of the first order. and yes, most would not play football if not for the education that comes with it. i do not understand how 'fans' can be so mean-spirited towards student-athletes, who for the most part, are great youngsters. these h...

Re: Georgia joins states allowing college athletes to be paid

bull dung. their education is not free. they work their asses for their education and most wouldn't play football if not for that degree in the end. they have personally told me that. BS.... "They"? You've talked to all of em? I used to live with 3 of them in college. I know what they go through an...

Re: Georgia joins states allowing college athletes to be paid

"giant building by our football stadium" - i'm not sure what you're talking about, the indoor training facility? and student-athlete educations are hardly free. they spend pretty much 24/7/365 developing their bodies and skills for our entertainment. That's exactly what I'm talking about. I've had ...

Re: Georgia joins states allowing college athletes to be paid

This is just another in a long line of decisions that will forever destroy "amateur" athletics. And using the term "student"-athlete in this proclamation is almost laughable at this point as very few, if any, of these athletes will go to any of these schools for an education. I have been waning in ...

Re: Kansas hires Buffalo's Lance Leipold as football coach

Without better QB play, KU won't go anywhere. Their current roster of six QBs had less than 10 total D-1 offers combined as recruits (including zero P5 offers), which is a good barometer for the level of talent they have at the position. Leipold will obviously need to address that to be successful....

https://www.yahoo.com/news/getting-hit-bricks-man-testifies-233256285.html I still don't see how this was kept so quiet for so long. De Sousa was arguing with 2 KU softball players. And 3 other KU basketball players were there, plus many witnesses. No way KU staff didn't know. The fact that KU kept...

Re: Kansas hires Buffalo's Lance Leipold as football coach

The path to six wins seems tough, but can get done. If that happens LL is a hero, if not a wealthy man who will find another job. My son is a high school football coach, hope he goes the college route someday! It may happen, but it will take at least 4 years. They have Duke and Houston on their non...
