Re: reparations: financial and rights

You were doing fine until this paragraph but it was in bad form to be honest. I imagine lots of posters on this board had no financial help getting through school. I am also sure they did not live your life but you also have no idea what others did to put themselves through school and what other st...

Wahh!!! I worked through school!! Join the club. Your long winded post reeks of envy and victim hood. If you don’t think kids today aren’t doing a similar role as you did then you’re sadly mistaken. read my post again for content. you missed/whiffed. then again, why would I be surprised. good day t...

Re: reparations: financial and rights

I believe you are making several mistakes, however, in your argument. First of all, you are implying that: "By golly I had to work 50 hours per week and eat ramen noodles so everyone else should do the same if they want an education." The mistake, in your reasoning, is that not every one is cut fro...

They raised tuition because the state decreased funding. Also I looked up when min wage was in the 2.00 range and the 280 you paid for tuition equates to about 1300 dollars a semester. 15 hours is about 4700 a semester these days at KSU. But hey let’s pound our chest and tell us how hard we had it ...

who here realizes that each of us pays forward to subsidize medicare/medicaid? I will have a lifetime (50+ years) of monies I've put in, ostensibly to pay forward for a program that I might get to use 30 years. on top of 'that' I've paid my own insurance programs at same time. you change this up to ...

Re: Rison

Rison is suspended from school and the team pending legal investigation. The only wait and see attitude is with respect to his legal issues. At KU, most of the players were still in school and some still playing while the matters were being addressed behind the scenes. There's a big difference. hop...

You were still miles ahead of the kids who go to that same land grant university today. Your generation is such a riot. Cheap college, got to skip major military conflicts, and was lucky enough to land jobs before NAFTA and the Chinese outsourcing model. "get it together you F*CKING leftist moocher...

cooter, just wondering if there are folks 'in the district' who rely on coal mining for their livelihood? wonder if perhaps it's possible that they might commute to their place of work? doing a modicum of work/research, one finds Allicance Coal LLC in lexington KY (HQ for a mining company) with a mi...
