Re: 2025 baseball

The 2025 season is a month away from this Tuesday. The Cats play their first 11 games on the road and it’s quite the schedule. Washington, Coastal Carolina x2, Michigan, LSU, TCU, Arkansas, North Carolina. Nebraska, Creighton. They just go .500 in those games and they’ll be sitting pretty good. Wit...

Re: Houston, We Have A Problem

JMHO, but I think we are red shirting Fall!!! If so, I'm good with that. Coach mentioned again tonight the importance of getting players back for multiple seasons. As I mentioned in another post, I hope our staff is identifying the kids they want to retain and make an effort to keep them from trans...

Re: Houston, We Have A Problem

Reading between the lines when Coach was asked why Buddy didn't play tonight, it appears he is in Coach's doghouse. I don't remember his exact words, but it was something to the effect of, "I'd rather not discuss it." Frustrating. I noticed Fall didn't get in the game, either, but Coach wasn't asked...

Re: Houston, We Have A Problem

Rough night against a good team. Was there any word on why Buddy didn't get in the game. At the end, everyone including the walkon got in the game. Illness? Injury? Coach's doghouse?

Re: cfp formula ...

With no SEC SEC SEC team in the final, I predict the SEC will now lobby for 16 team / 24 team playoffs going forward  I would prefer a 16-school playoff with no byes. I would also want the stipulation that no more than three schools from the same conference are eligible for the CFP. Give ever...

Re: Big 12 Games

A couple surprising scores last I checked. TTU was up by four on ISU and TCU was up by one on BYU. Both games were around the 6:30 mark in the second half. Update: TCU hung on for the win. ISU got a layup with one second left in the game to send it to overtime. ISU wins it in overtime 85-84. I saw t...

Re: cfp formula ...

both nd and osu would not have made the field much less the final. this further evidence why the 12-team cfp makes so much more sense than the eye-test four. show me on the field, not the committee. https://collegefootballplayoff.com/rankings.aspx I imagine it has also created more interest nationa...

Bill McCartney, a three-time coach of the year in the Big Eight Conference who led the Colorado Buffaloes to their only national football title in 1990, has died. He was 84. McCartney died Friday night "after a courageous journey with dementia," according to a family statement. espn Sad to hear. RIP.

This one's likely going to get ugly.
Unfortunately, I feel the same way. Who knows? Maybe they will surprise us.

Re: minutia ...

I will give props to Coach Snyder. He made sure the players went to class and even told them they had to sit toward the front of the classroom to be more engaged. Coach even had "spies" to make sure the kids were going to class. He was truly concerned for his players as people and not just using the...
