Have any of our current staff announced they are leaving? With as strong of staff as we have, I can see other schools coming for them.

Re: Portal 2024
20 more transfers today and still going...crazy! It is also interesting to see transfers quickly commit to a new school, right after hitting the portal. Makes you wonder if players are being poached. Yep. There's nothing stopping other schools from tampering now. It will be interesting to see how f...

Re: basketball minutia ..
I guess my thought is, why do these college players all of a sudden have a whole lot more rights than the pro's? Heck, the NFL, NBA, MLB, you have to go play for the team that drafts you for a minimum number of years and you have to play for whatever coach the organization chooses. There are tamper...

Re: FBI:Most Wanted "Fouled Out" "Central Kansas University"
Anyone else happen to see last night the "FBI:Most Wanted" show on CBS? The plot revolves around a scheme to pay college basketball players to play for "Central Kansas University", before NIL was allowed. In the latter half of the episode the characters referred to the school as "CKU". Some details...

Re: goings-on at other football programs ...
fitz is an idiot (it's patterson) and liar (taylor, tang, klieman hate the prez and will be leaving). he financially benefits by making trouble for k-state and people associated with it. anyone quoting him promotes the same sewer of thought. what he says has no more bearing on the situation than th...

Re: goings-on at other football programs ...
I agree with your last statement, stlcat. I don't see K-State being able to compete financially with the big 2. Let them go their own way into a semi-pro league. The K-States of the college world can then compete in true college athletics. I know many will say we should compete with the top schools...

Re: more than random minutia, unionizing college sports ...
Yes, back to college amateurism as college athletics was meant to be! In today's Daily Delivery episode, Fitz was mentioning how the courts have made it so there are no longer any rules and regulations involving transfers and NIL. The football transfer portal reopens on April 15 and coaches are say...

Re: I want Coach Tang to stay. I think the world of him.
Yeah, if Keyontae had played the full game, most likely we would have gone to the Final Four. I think we could have beaten San Diego State and played UConn for the National Championship. We've just been snake bit, it seems, in our last four Elite Eights. Having Dean available in our previous Elite E...

Re: goings-on at other football programs ...
My wife, son, daughter, brother in law and two nephews are Cougs. When we talk about WSU lately it is like everyone just had their favorite dog die. I'd like to think that what's happened up here will not happen to us down the road but KSU really does not move the needle on a national basis and nob...
