Adios!
Well, guys and gals. I've posted more than once about how I've considered ending my support for college sports, Kansas State in particular. The unchecked cheating by many combined with a Wild West approach to NIL, the portal, salaries, etc. have taken away much of the enjoyment. Because of that, I a...

There was a wsj article today on OSU's NIl collective. Based upon the "high seven figure" in commitments they've supposedly received, $912k seems low

So, it's a "university-wide" problem, so the AD gets the boot? The miscalculation (how could academia possibly screw up that badly?) must have been with the athletic department.

So, I rewatched the game last night. It sounded like their coach was saying that we fouled #11 on that jack up 3 with 10 seconds left. But, I honestly didn't see a foul. Did you? Also, I love how our players aren't intimidated. They aren't dirty players, at all. But, they aren't afraid to fight for...

Re: Oklahoma State Cowboys
It's quite the conundrum. History holds Dwight Eisenhower as the general who was the leader of the Allies in WWII. He is portrayed as the one who lead the free world to victory. And I doubt he fired a shot. Many times it takes a leader to pull a group of people together to achieve more than they cou...

I thought it was quite qutsy to go for the block on the 3-point attempt at the buzzer. Not sure which player it was, but it was a clean block. Exciting group of young women.

OK experts, what is the best coverage of live sports at the lowest cost? I'm no expert, but this lays out what channels each service accesses. I haven't pulled the trigger yet, but YouTubeTV appears to be my lean. FSI also covered. And others. https://agoodmovietowatch.com/cord-cutting/watch-espn-w...

Re: Sports Illustrated Layoffs
My mom worked in a doctor office and would bring me the 2 weeks old SIs from the office. I remember reading about the Chiefs losing to GB in the first Super Bowl. SI was big time reading for an 11 year old. I’ve read SI most of my life but since the internet the magazine is no longer relevant. They...
