Re: You Heard It Here First

the golden boy at clemson has been leading the #wewanttoplay charge. I am aware. As is many kids his age, he doesn't understand the ramifications. Invincible. Until you're not. That's why we have adults. They are supposed to advise young people with their years of wisdom and experience behind their...

Re: How long before a decision must be made for 2020?

I have no idea where everything will land. What IS clear is that the NCAA is an organization in charge of nothing. I’ve met read one statement from them re the season

Re: Final Straw

If CFB isn’t played this fall, I would expect a very significant reduction (larger than what is likely happening now) in college attendance. There would certainly be a fair number of in-person classes if CFB is played, possibly far fewer if it Isn’t. The entire (broken) college model was already in ...

Re: Final Straw

What environment will these young men be returning to if CFB is called off? I’d argue that many, if not most, would be safer under the controlled environment offered by CFB. There is no easy answer. Anyone who contracts Covid is at significant risk, wherever that may be.

Re: Big 10 cancels Football for fall 2020

There was likely a lot of political pressure to cancel the season (e.g., MI’s governor). Teams like Iowa and Nebraska and ??? understand that, as one player so eloquently phrased it, “There ain’t no Plan B. I have nowhere else to go.” The dance begins

Re: New 2021 Commit - Matthew Langlois

Looking like there will be over100 athletes on scholarship in 2021 and beyond once this season is cancelled. This will be interesting.

Re: Buffalo ?

I know it’s not kosher to think this way, but my opinion is that the majority of CFB athletes will suffer greater exposure to Covid19 at home/away from college than they would playing football. At least there is a modicum of control at college. But, what will ultimately drive the final (no play) dec...

I suppose scholarships will be honored. What about the tutoring, training table, weight room, etc? One would think, given the season delay that is supposedly Covid driven, that the facilities would be a ghost town.

Re: something will surely be coming from k-state as well ...

I really hope it’s not happening anywhere, especially KState. If it is, everyone with knowledge should be terminated immediately. On the flip side, It is hard for me to understand why everyone expects the players to continue their education and other perks - unabated - if CFB shuts down. Many, many ...

Re: Pac-12 player group threatens to opt out, makes list of demands on injustice, safety

well, here are the demands. amongst them, some of which are quite reasonable by the way, but here's the best one, see below. now, 50% of k-state football revenue ($48 million) would be $24 million annually. that would mean each scholarship player would receive $282,352.94 annually for doning the pu...
