Re: Joe Petrakis

In most cases a normal walk-on has to compete for a spot as a walk-on whereas a preferred walk-on is recruited for a guaranteed spot by the coaching staff. One of MJ's sons was a preferred walk-on for Weber at UI for example. I don't have any particular expectations for Petrakis, but he does have so...

Keon Ellis is alright if you like that kind of thing.

So this is what it would be like if NCAA bb was like fbs football before the playoff. Based on the ‘body of work’ I think Florida state is #1
how can you reach that conclusion when the noles are ranked #4. :|
Noles tend to struggle with advanced stats.

Re: Shadd enters transfer portal

This is good news because KSU couldn't pull Shadd scholarship so it's good that he has decided to transfer. Love on the other hand, I believe they can pull his scholarship since he has been in school 4 years, so I would expect him to announce soon as well. Keep in mind that Love can't start serving...

Shadd enters transfer portal

According to Jeff Goodman, Shadd has entered the transfer portal. Not a shocker, of course, but it does clarify a bit where some of the scholarships are coming from.

Re: Recruiting Thread

He is currently described as being 6' 7", which is significant if true. He has some pretty impressive rebounding numbers against good competition, and he is supposedly a willing defender who has had some success against a range of players. He might develop into an Iwundu type player over time. We'll...

Re: Pack Man

No, let's be realistic. No one knows how well Nijel will do as a freshman, which means that no one knows whether he will be a back-up guy, a significant rotation player, or a starter. What we do know is that he is easily the highest rated point guard to come to KSU in a long time. Some of you seem t...

One game at a time. It's hard for any team to beat another team 3 times in one year.
If your theory about three-peats is correct, then all KSU has to do is to avoid playing Oklahoma, WVU, and Iowa State. We have those other six Big 12 teams exactly where we want them!

Re: Pack Man

Both the hope and the caution in expectations for Pack are reasonable. Pack is a four-star recruit because he is an excellent shooter as well as being a natural point guard. For his high school career he is shooting over 50% overall (388 of 765), 43% from three (149 of 347), and 86% from the line (1...
