Goin’ to Memphis!
K-State will be heading to Memphis to play against Navy in the Liberty Bowl. It wasn’t the bowl game many Cat fans were hoping for — Iowa State received an invite to play Notre Dame in the Camping World bowl, despite the Cats hosting a better record and a win in the head-to-head.
This will be the first time K-State (8-4) and Navy (9-2) have played each other in the history of their respective programs. A win would give the Cats a nine-win season in Chris Klieman’s first year at the helm in Manhattan.
The game will kick off at 2:45 on New Year’s Eve.
