In a series marked with improbable come from behind wins, all favoring the Cats, it seems karmic that the Wildcats would ultimately end up blowing a 17 point fourth quarter lead. The loss ends a ten game winning streak by the Cats over the Cyclones, and with it the prospects of the 2018 Kansas State season continuing to a bowl game.
The real question, however, is: does this game also mark the end of the Bill Snyder era? Snyder was noncommittal in his post game press conference, simply stating it was the last thing on his mind. For many fans, this game was the proverbial straw that shows a change should be made. Whatever the decision, it should be made quickly, as recruiting hangs in the balance.
Regardless of what the future holds for Wildcat football, this team gave us plenty of fantastic memories this season, and this writer, for one, is thankful for that!
