I seriously think we will struggle for all four quarters with UTSA .
I'd name Thompson the starter but give The Alexes (Barnes and Delton) a few series where we just run the ball 8 or 10 times in a row with NO PASSING ALLOWED.
But, if Thompson gets sacked more than once or twice against the University of Texas, San Antonio Roses, or whatever they are called, then we drop the passing game all together, elevate a couple more quarterbacks up in the roster and set up our "Disposable Quarterbacks Offense." Quarterback runs the ball every play. Whenever we break a quarterback, we just send in another one.. We'll need about five healthy young quarterback/athletes who can run and chew gum at the same time.
We beat Texas with this offense once when Klein took over for an injured Carson Coffman-- and Baylor won a bowl game a couple of years ago using this method. I think it was Boise State they beat that night. Every player on the Baylor team who hadn't recently raped anyone, got to score a touchdown. It was a thing of beauty.
